Prof Maj Gen Dr. Kamrul Hasan Khan was graduated (MBBS) in 1989. He joined in Bangladesh Army in the year of 1991. Since 1998 he has been working as an Ophthalmologist in different Military Hospitals. He has done his DO from University of Dhaka and FCPS from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. He also completed ICO Exam under International Council of Ophthalmology London, UK. He served as an Ophthalmologist in Armed Forces Hospital in Kuwait on Deputation.

Dr Khan underwent Fellowship in Glaucoma of CEITC Pahartoli, Chittagong. He got Hands on a training & Phaco & Refractive Surgery at different reputed hospitals in India. He also visited as an observer in LVPEI, Arvind Eye Hospital, Raghudeep Eye Clinic, Schroff Eye Hospital, India, SNEC Singapore. He obtained prestigious PBGMS (President Border Guard Medal Sheba) for his outstanding contributation. He attended and presented his scientific papers at AIOS conference 5 times and APACRS 3 times. He has good number of publication in national & international level. Currently He is working as Adviser Specialist & HOD Combined Military Hospital & Professor Armed Forces Medical College, Dhaka. He is doing large no of Phaco Surgeries about 1000 cases every year and also good no of Refractive Surgery like PRK, LASIK, Smile.

He was professor of ophthalmology in different Army Medical Colleges for different duration in Bangladesh. He has achieved FRCS Glasgow in 2021 on election. He is undergoing PhD research on refractive surgery under Bangladesh University of Professionals.

Dr Khan is life member of Bangladesh Glaucoma Society (BGS), Bangladesh Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (BSCRS), Bangladesh Cornea and Refractive Surgery Society (BCRS), All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), Asia Pacific Association Cataract & Refractive Surgeon (APACRS) and Asia Pacific Ocular Trauma Society (APOTS).

He is a Golfer and member of Army Golf Club and Kurmitola Golf Club Dhaka, Bangladesh.
